Perfect for A1-B2 levels, these activities combine speaking practice with decision-making.

How to Use

  1. Introduce the activity:
Explain that each picture presents several items related to a topic, but students can only choose three.

  2. Individual choice:
Ask students to select the three items they would take, do, or have from each set of pictures.

  3. Pair or group discussion:
Have students explain their choices to a partner or group. Encourage them to justify their decisions using phrases like:

    • “I chose this because…”
    • “I wouldn’t take this because…”
  4. Class sharing:
Invite volunteers to share their selections and reasons with the whole class, fostering conversation and opinion expression.

  5. Repeat for all topics:
Work through all seven topics, allowing students to compare choices and discuss differences in preferences.

This activity is ideal for building speaking confidence, practicing vocabulary, and encouraging critical thinking across a variety of everyday and thematic topics.
