TripAdvisor Restaurants

This activity lets students explore authentic TripAdvisor restaurant reviews from around the world. Key vocabulary is highlighted with explanations or synonyms, giving learners the tools to discuss and describe restaurants confidently while practising B1–B2 speaking skills.

How to Use

1. Display a slide with a restaurant and its TripAdvisor reviews.
2. Ask students to read the reviews carefully, paying attention to the highlighted vocabulary and explanations.
3. Discuss the meaning of new words and phrases to ensure comprehension.
4. Students then complete tasks where they describe the restaurant using the learned vocabulary.
5. Encourage pair or group discussions to practise speaking fluently and apply the vocabulary in context.
6. Rotate through multiple slides to give students exposure to different types of restaurants and reviews.
