Spring Tic-Tac-Toe

This engaging speaking warm-up includes three Spring Tic-Tac-Toe boards adapted for A1, A2, and B1 levels. Each version features ready-to-use questions about spring activities, habits, and plans, helping students practise speaking in a fun and interactive way.

How to use

• Students play tic-tac-toe in pairs or small groups.
• To claim a square, a student must answer the question in the square they choose.
• Encourage learners to give full answers appropriate to their level.
• The activity can also be used as a class competition to see who completes a line first.
• Great as a warm-up activity to start a lesson with speaking practice and spring vocabulary.
