A1 A2 General Present Simple

A1–A2 Frequency Reactions is a fun and interactive way to practise adverbs of frequency using relatable memes and real-life situations. Students react to everyday scenarios while reviewing present simple structures and frequency expressions in a dynamic, low-pressure format. It works especially well in online lessons and encourages participation from even shy learners.

How to use

  1. Show students one slide at a time.
  2. Each slide presents a meme and a “How often…?” question.
  3. Students answer by choosing an adverb of frequency and reacting using Zoom or Google Meet reactions (e.g. always, usually, sometimes, never).
  4. Invite a few students to explain their reactions using full sentences.

This activity works well as a warm-up, quick grammar revision, or an engaging group interaction task for online classes.
