Autumn Comparatives

Grammar Activities
A1 A2 Autumn Comparative & Superlative

This activity is a visual and interactive way to practise comparatives with autumn-themed content. Each slide displays two “digital cameras” capturing autumn scenes, allowing students to compare them using the sentence starters and speaking prompts. It's perfect for A1–A2 learners to combine grammar revision with speaking practice.

How to Use

  1. Show a slide with two autumn scenes displayed on the digital cameras.
  2. Provide students with sentence starters and speaking prompts to guide their comparisons.
Example: “The leaves in photo A are more colourful than in photo B.”
  3. Encourage students to take turns describing and comparing the scenes using comparatives.
  4. Optionally, focus on grammar accuracy by highlighting the correct use of comparatives and superlatives.
  5. Rotate through multiple slides to give varied practice and stimulate observation and speaking skills.
